Magnetic Drive Pumps

Syp Engineering offers the MDH Series magnetic drive pumps from Iwaki Co, Japan. The pump heads are made of glass-fibres or carbon-fibres filled in polypropylene or fluoroplastic because of their mechanical strength. The rear casing is reinforced with ribs or a metal plate to allow higher system pressures. Suction head loss is minimized by eliminating the front support of the spindle or positioning it inside the impeller, depending on the model. The magnetic drive mechanism, which ensures zero leakage through the pump casing, is indispensable in transferring hazardous fluids safely. Possibilities of contamination around the pump are avoided and thanks to the sealless design, there is no shaft seal to replace. The pump consists of simple and unitized parts which are easy to disassemble and inspect. Standard motors available on the market can be used. Specially designed flanges 40 mm or 50 mm bore are optionally available for IS0 NP 10, ANSI 150 Lbs or JIS 10 K standard piping. No seal tape is required for piping because of the secure O-ring sealing. These pumps are ideal for pumping all clean liquids, especially those which are corrosive, poisonous, toxic, explosive, flammable, or fuming, where any leakage of liquid to atmosphere could effect health and safety, or the environment. Industries include chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, tank farms, food, electroplating and refrigeration.
