Diaphragm Pumps

Dencil Pumps manufacture a range of high pressure pumps and chemical metering pumps. Diaphragm pumps are recommended for hazardous, toxic and poisonous liquids, where leakage is not at all permitted. They have hydraulically actuated diaphragms and back pressure valves, the main function of a back pressure valve being to balance the hydraulic oil in the oil chamber. The reciprocating plunger transmits displacement through hydraulic oil to the diaphragm, the oscillation of which produces pumping action on process fluid. The diaphragm acts as a perfect seal between the hydraulic oil and the liquid being pumped. These pumps can be provided with single or double diaphragm. Usually teflon acts as a diaphragm. Double diaphragm with double acting valve is suitable for slurry or hot liquids. The pumps can be offered in capacities up to 6000 ltr/hr and pressure ratings up to 10 kg/cm2. The back pressure valve which is in the hydraulic oil tank ensures pumping accuracies for long period. The pressure drop in hydraulic chamber due to oil leakage is automatically compensated by opening of the back pressure valve. Besides, it acts as a safegaurd from damages if discharge pressure exceeds pump rated pressure.
