Intelligent Process Controller

The Intelligent Process Controller, Indion 4000 series, are microprocessor based instruments for measuring water quality. The range includes on-line and handheld pH/Redox, conductivity and resistivity indicators, and transmitters. The panel mounted 4000 series of Indion process controllers are based on the principle of Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) making the compact units value-packed with Intelligent features. The instruments comply with the Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards and are protected against electromagnetic interference. This enables their use in high frequency areas such as induction furnaces, VHF, and UHF transmitters. Auto buffer recognition eliminates calibration errors while using standard solutions. The auto zoom facility for 4 -20 mA current outputs helps in selecting the range in accordance with output devices like Distributed Control (DC) Systems, recorders, etc. Other special features are the facility to Delay Dosing for a certain period in spite of reaching set point conditions, the Hysteresis facility to prevent hunting of dosing pumps and motors near the set point region and the Hold facility to control the operation of the instrument connected as a part of the process. The line resistance adjustments in conductivity indicators compensate for cable resistance associated with long cables. All pH controllers are provided with built in Proportional Integral Controller function. These sleek battery operated instruments are based on ASIC and have pushbutton calibration with auto buffer recognition. Their splash-proof membrane keypad prevents damage and corrosion. Battery power is conserved with the auto power cut-off after 20 minutes of non-use. Temperature measurement is displayed with each parameter. All meters are provided with self-diagnostic facilities. Dual usage of these meters both in the field and laboratory is possible because of their ergonomic design.
