Self Priming Centrifugal Pump

Fieldmarshal brand engine driven self priming centrifugal pump can handle mud, dirt and suspended solids. It works on the principle of diffusing air into liquid and discharges it outside the pumping chamber at the starting condition, and thereby eliminates air from the suction side and achieve priming. This operation requires only a few seconds and then the pump works as a centrifugal pump. This series of pumping sets are driven by single or two-cylinder engines running at 1,500 RPM and have both suction and delivery of 80 or 100 mm dia pipes. The head developed ranges from 10 to 28 m and discharge capacity ranges from 3.5 LPS to 41.5 LPS. Solids handling size varies from 15.5 to 23 mm. Other features are: quick completely automatic priming; no priming method and no foot valve; sturdy construction for arduous duty, few wearing parts and minimum maintenances no clogging; perfect interchangeability of spare parts; back pull out design; and no disturbance to either suction or delivery pipes during repairs. This pump set is most suitable for dewatering purpose, eg, piers in civil engineering works; for water supply from rivers; and for general utilities like fire fighting. In industrial sector, the pump is used for handling chemicals, petroleum products and other fluids, as also ash water in thermal power plants. In marine field, it is used for handling cargo from freighters, barges and pumping out water from bilges.
