Rotating Union For Printing Industry

For the printing industry Deublin, USA, has specifically designed unions that can be used at very high speeds such as 3500 RPM in high speed wet offset presses. Wear-resistant silicon carbide to silicon carbide seals extend the life of the ,union even for high wear applications. SS rotors assure dependable corrosion resistance while the dual ball bearings are precision-made, heavy duty type and lubricated for life to provide long trouble-free service even when encountering high speeds or reciprocating frequency. Further, a balanced sealing design allows only a partial line pressure to be applied on the seal face and therefore prevents premature wear. All Deublin seals are microlapped to a surface finish of 4 RMS and an optical flatness of .000023 inch or 2 light bands to assure dependable, leakproof operation. These unions are also designed for quick on-the-field service. Here the seals are keyed to a counter bore at the rotor's end and are not an integral part of the rotor. The worn-out seal can be simply lifted and a new one dropped in, thus making repair fast, easy and economical.
