Paper slitting machine

Prabodhan Yantra Pradnya has developed a low cost paper slitting machine for continuous paper rolls. The main fabricated frame is rugged along with anchoring facility to avoid vibrations. The machine is provided with a special single phase (1200 W) motor along with controller. The controller helps to maintain the constant tension while winding. The continuous adjustment of tension can be done manually or automatically. The slitting can be done up to 45 minutes continuously at a desired linear speed with this motor. This facility allows the use of machine in non-industrial area without three phase connection. The unwinding station is provided with low friction high speed bearing for web unwinding. The lateral movement arrangement for paper web adjustment and friction brake facility to adjust initial tension is in built. The maximum diameter, which can be loaded is 10" approx. Cutter station is provided with two idler roller, cutter shaft with lateral movement arrangement. The specially designed razor blade cutter holder provides accuracy of ?2 while slitting. The size of the paper, which can be cut is from 50 mm to 550 mm. The total width of the paper web can be 1.1 metre. It is a duplex winding arrangement. The winding side is provided with special replaceable pillow blocks. The core paper tubes (QS 25.4 mm/min.) are uniquely fitted on winding shafts, which give absolute concentricity. This avoids costly airshafts and air compressor. The winding shafts are operator friendly. The machine is provided with meter counter to check slit length.
