Finepac Structures offers sheet metal structured packings. These are available in specific mass transfer surface areas (sq.m/cu.m) of 250, 350, 500 and 750. Materials of construction: sheet metal SS 304, SS 316, SS 316L, etc. These are suitable for both batch and continuous distillation systems.
- Ranging from laboratory columns to large scale process systems
- Close boiling components distillation
- High vacuum process columns

- High mass transfer surface area
- High efficiency leading to shorter columns
- Regular structure, no channeling of liquid, minimum need of frequent liquid redistribution
- No movement in the bed at high hydraulic loads and hence no mutilation of packing material
- High void volume in the packing bed, very low pressure drop, highly recommended for vacuum distillation systems
- Higher vapour load capacity compared to random packing and trays - low liquid hold-up, low pressure drop
- Negligible foaming compared to random packing and trays
