Jumbo Bag Ltd, a subsidiary of Bliss Group and the leading player in the industrial packaging sector, manufactures jumbo bags at its four sites – two in Chennai and one each at Tuticorin and Mumbai. The company aims to become the world leader in industrial packaging by providing one-stop solutions through continuous innovation and total employee involvement. To achieve its objective, the organisation has established a vertically-integrated production system for various functions such as weaving, laminating, printing and sewing. Regular jumbo bags are made from polypropylene and are custom-built. The organisation manufactures jumbo bags in various designs: U-panel, circular, baffle or Q-bags with various filling, discharging and lifting options. The regular jumbo bags are used for handling solid materials in powder, granule and flake forms. The regular jumbo bags are available in coated and uncoated variety, with inner PE liner, barrier liner, etc. Tests are conducted in-house to ensure the bags meet quality requirements. The regular jumbo bags are made as per EN 1898 standard. The UN certification can also be done for jumbo bags to carry hazardous materials. The company’s antistatic Type B jumbo bags are with breakdown voltage less than 4 kV. These bags are certified by an outside testing house. It also produces anti-static liners for these bags; and is setting up a hygiene bag project for producing food and pharmaceutical grade jumbo bags.
