Paper Corrugating Machine, SHSB-250

Sun-Up (India) Machinery Co offers a Paper Corrugating Machine, single facer with oil dip gearbox, Model SHSB-250. The company is one of the leading manufacturers of paper corrugating board and box making machinery, also specialising in manufacturing of 3/5 ply automatic plants. This model is of double wall frame in MS instead of traditional CI castings, adding strength and stability. Double wall construction gives more base area and cuts down vibration, enabling to put four bearings in one roller instead of two bearings as is the case in single wall construction. Therefore a total number of 12 bearings are fixed on the three rollers instead of 6. Gearbox: gears are traditionally fitted on to rollers. The centre roller has the drive gear. Pressure rollers are driven from the centre roller. The problem faced with this arrangement is that the heaters in flute rollers – cause the gears to heat up and make them soft over a period of time. So the gears are taken out of the machine, which a major innovation. This has resulted in cutting down the wear and tear of gears. In this new machine, the gears are placed in an oil-dipped gearbox. This further increases the life of gears. Single screw wheel system: for pressure roll lifting traditionally there was single side setting with mechanical clutch system where in worm gear and screw system was used. This always created problem and maintenance was required time and again. In this latest system, the company has made the clutch system obsolete and incorporated screw wheel system. This requires no maintenance. Gum tank: 3 shafts are fitted instead of 2. The 3rd shaft drives gum unit. So when the changeover of paper takes place, the gum unit is kept stirred eliminating gelling of gum and consequent wastage. Safety guard over the corrugating roll prevents possible accidents when paper is fed manually. Since the gear systems is out and since there are 12 bearings, the machine runs smoother and can be run faster by 20 to 25 Percent with the same consumption of power.
