Glass Packing Machine System

Japs Tech Engineers offers a Glass Packing Machine (rotary elevator) used for packing glass piles in metal crates. The equipment consists of 2 sets of forks positioned back to back in independent masts with guide ways to operate independently with individual drive arrangement. The fork movement is achieved by independent geared motors mounted on top of each mast. Counter weight arrangement is provided for the hoist movement by a pair of chains and sprockets. Both the masts are mounted on a rotary frame, which rotates 0-180° and vice versa by a pair of bull gear and pinion arrangement actuated by two geared motors positioned diametrically opposite on both sides of the bull gear. The mast with the rotary frame is mounted on a base frame, which moves on rails linearly through geared motor. All drive motors like hoist movement (up/down movement of the fork), rotary movement and linear movement on rails are operated through a common panel with a facility to operate either in auto/manual mode. The glass sheets coming in the line are transferred batch by batch to an air table and then stacked on the glass packing machine’s fork manually. After stacking the required quantity on fork, the pile of glass is transferred to the rear side for packing in metal crates after moving away from the air table by 1000 mm. On the extreme end of the linear movement rotary movement takes place and the empty forks are brought to the front for further loading leaving the loaded forks on the rear side for packing in metal crate. The pile of glass on the rear side fork is lifted up by 1250 mm and lowered down after keeping the metal crate underneath the fork. While lowering down the pile of glass is stacked in metal crate and latched. The packed metal crate is transferred onto the mobile forklift for storing in the yard. Thus the cycle repeats.
