Bulk bag sanitary sealing

Scientific Marketing Services offers bulk bag sanitary sealing manufactured by Vibra Screw, Inc., Unlike most bag unloader applications where flow is started by opening the bag spout and letting it hang down into the unloader outlet box where it flows out to the process, this unique feature allows the bulk bag to be sealed to the process discharge side to eliminate contamination from dirt and debris on the outside of the bag spout once it is sealed in the unloader hopper. On these bag unloaders, the standard outlet box is modified to incorporate a downspout to which the bag outlet is sealed with a quick acting clamp. This downspout extends through the floor of the outlet box where it is further sealed to the process stream. During operation a combination of the outlet box"s sloped floor and the unloader"s vibratory motion turns the sloped floor into a side discharge feed chute through which any dust or dirt from the outside of the bag can be collected by gravity or a vacuum dust collection system.
