Nautilus Systems, Inc is a leader in Accurate, Reliable, and Affordable Adhesive Component Placement systems. Our patented technology was specifically designed for precise and reliable placement of adhesive-backed components of virtually any shape or material and has been proven a revolutionary solution for all market segments of manufacturing and assembly. The PL165EPi provides extremely accurate label placement at an incomparable level of affordability for virtually any shape of component with equal reliability. Component placement accuracy as good as +/- 0.035mm. This PL165EPi includes a 'closed-loop' monitoring system that controls the position of the adhesive component and eliminates inaccuracies that can occur in an 'open loop' system.

Our latest Applicator system provides all of the same benefits and features of our previous generation systems at a remarkable new level of affordability. The PL165EPi has capacity for components up to 100 x 160mm in size. It provides maximum ease of setup and high reliability during use. The Remote Teach Pendant Interface is now available with a Secure Card interface. This Secure Card interface limits the ability of unauthorized personnel to make any adjustments to machine parameters or settings. This is one of our most popular options.

This equipment is used by a variety of manufacturers including medical device, electronics, packaging, semiconductor, automotive, mobile phone, and more. A few examples of the use of this system include the following: 1) A manufacturer of semiconductor components requiring high accuracy placement (total measured placement range of 70 microns!) of a Kapton Tape Frame Mask component to their PCB substrate; 2) a manufacturer of abrasive wheels and discs that required a system to apply 'ring-shaped' labels of three different diameters (up to 160mm O.D.) utilizing the quick-change tooling features of our systems; 3) a manufacturer of a medical diagnostic test system requiring a system to accurately and reliably apply a label approximately 3" x 6" with a 'key-shape' geometry; and 4) a manufacturer of packaged foods requiring a system to reliably place rectangular 'tape' components onto packaging sleeves to hold them after a folding operation.
