Rama Steel Tubes Ltd is one of the leading manufactures of Steel Pipes and Tubes and rigid PVC and G I pipes in India. Established in 1974, the company makes some of the best steel tube products in India. The range includes MS ERW black pipes from 15 mm to 200 mm diameter pipes conforming to IS: 1239, IS: 1161, IS: 3589, IS: 3601 and IS: 4270 and GI pipes from 15 mm to 150 mm NB in light, medium and heavy sizes. The tubes are manufactured from mild steel strips, slit from SAIL's HR coil, conforming to IS-1078. The strip passes through a series off forming and fin rolls and takes the required circular shape and is welded continuously by passage of an electric current of high frequency across the open edges. The tubes thus formed pass through the sizing rolls. Tubes are cut into required lengths by automatic cutting machine. The tubes are then end deburred and hydraulically pressure tested.
