Steel Pipes, Various Grades

Zenith Birla (India), incorporated in the year 1960, commissioned its Steel Pipes Division in a record time of eighteen months. This division ranks among the pioneer steel pipe manufacturers of India. Till 1971, Zenith manufactured steel pipes by ERW process. Thereafter, the manufacturing process was converted to the latest technology of High Frequency Induction Welding (HFIW) process. Manufacturing capabilities: installed annual manufacturing capacity of 1,20,000 MT of pipes, in range of 1/2" to 8" in diameter covered under different IS standards, viz., IS: 3589, IS: 9295 and IS: 4923, IS: 1978, IS1161; and pipes in various international specifications, e.g., BS 1387, ASTM A53, ASTM A500 for square and rectangular hollows, BS1139, BS 879, BS 6363 and BS 1775 for structural tubes are in regular production due to heavy and continuous export demand. The company also manufactures pipes to DIN, ASTM, GOST and BIS specifications and also those equivalent to API 5L grade specifications. Applications: water and gas, line pipes, structural pipes, conveyor idlers, bore well casing, scaffolding tubes, electric pole, telecommunications, conduits, precision tubes, automobile chassis, etc.
