Seamless Tubes, SS & Other Alloys

Nuclear Fuel Complex has excellent facilities for manufacture of Seamless Tubes in a variety of materials stainless steel and other high alloys. Seamless tubes are used extensively in power generation – both thermal and nuclear, fertiliser and chemical industries, defense and aerospace applications in view of their outstanding properties of corrosion resistance and mechanical strength at cryogenic as well as elevated temperatures. Seamless tubes are available in circular, hexagonal and square cross sections. Basic information: grades – stainless steels (austenitic, duplex, super duplex, ferritic and martensitic), titanium alloys and super alloys (UNS 8800, etc); specifications – ASTM and other international standards; sizes – OD 4 mm to 250 mm; and length – up to 30 metres. Special tubes/pipes profiles include: Stainless steel seamless instrumentation tubing for nuclear power plants and chemical industries (6, 8, 10, 12, 20 and 25 mm diameter); Heat exchanger tubes for chemical industries (12, 7, 15, 87, 19, 05, 25 and 38.1 mm diameter); Thin walled tubing (25 x 1, 36 x 1.3 and 44 x 1 mm); Small diameter tubes for FBR fuel tube application (4.7, 5.8, 6.6 mm diameter); Large diameter thin wall tubes; FBR control mechanism tubes; Duplex and super duplex tubes; Stainless steel seamless pipes extremely low corrosion rate (less than 10 mpy) quality tubes for boiling nitric acid application, and large diameter pipes up to 8” NB.
