Seamless Pipes & Tubes, Cs & Alloy Steel

JR Seamless Private Limited (JRSPL) is engaged in manufacturing of carbon and alloy steel Seamless Pipes and Tubes. With an installed capacity of 24,000 MT per annum, these pipes and tubes are available in a wide range of sizes between 6 to 90 mm OD with wall thickness varying from 2 to 12 mm and length of the tube varying from 4 mtr to 12.5 mtr as per ASTM, DIN specifications, etc.
Manufacturing process:

• The starting material for the plant is hot rolled round bar in carbon and alloy steel.
• Billets are cut into suitable length de pending on the length of the finished tube.
• The billets are heated in a furnace at a temperature of 1200°C to 1300°C.
• The solid hot billet is drawn over a mandrel in between two rollers to create hollow shell (mother hollow).
• These hollows are crimped at one end and are cooled.
• The tubes are then pickled, phosphate coated and lubricated to facilitate the next process of tube drawing.
• Depending on the finished size required, the tubes are subjected to single, double or triple drawing.
• After every draw the tubes are annealed at a temperature of 750°C.
• The tubes are then straightened and cleaned before being cut to the exact length required.
• The finished tubes are tested for quality-dimensional inspection, hydrostatic pressure testing, eddy current flaw detection as required – and are marked and coated with rust preventive oil before being bundled and dispatched.

• The plant manufactures tubes and pipes strictly complying with international and Indian standard specifications.
• Product quality is ensured by following a vigorous rigour throughout the manufacturing process steps starting from raw material to the final stage of packing and despatch.
