Performed Pipe Sections

UP Twiga Fiberglass offers Twiga Insul range of Preformed Pipe Sections. This is a one piece moulded insulation made from glass fibres bonded together with a high temperature resistant binder. This product offers excellent thermal resistance for the insulation of hot and cold pipes at low cost. Designed for easy and rapid 'snap-on' installation, glasswool pipe sections are recommended for insulating hot and cold pipes in a wide variety of applications in refineries, petrochemicals, thermal power plants, construction projects and process industries. For applications where a vapour barrier is needed, pipe sections with factory laminated aluminium foil facing are available. Specifications: standard density – 80 kg/m3 (+15%); temperature range – -195ºC to +230ºC (can go up to 450ºC with special binder); standard length – 900 mm; thickness – 25, 40, 50, 65 and 75 mm; pipe diameter – 20 mm NB to 300 mm NB; fire rating – conforms to BS 476 class O (BS 476 part 4, 5, 6 and 7); and thermal conductivity – 0.0285 W/m, at mean temperature of 50ºC. Twiga Insul preformed pipe sections conform to IS 9842 and BS 3958: part 4. Characteristics: excellent thermal resistance (low thermal conductivity); easy and fast to install, low cost; no shot content/impurities; non-corrosive to metal; resistant to chemicals, oil, fungus, bacteria, rot and vermin attack; non-hygroscopic, i.e., do not absorb moisture from atmosphere; and available with factory laminated aluminium foil vapour barrier.
