The plastic centrifugal blower is specifically designed to provide efficient, economical and maintenance free service in the corrosive ventilating and processing applications. The selection and design of blowers for corrosive application is a very specialised because of corrosive nature of air stream and mechanical design of impellers in varieties of plastic materials like PP, PVC, FRP, etc. Coated MS+FRP/PP/rubber lining blower suffers from cracks or pinholes, also the footing is usually thin, it subjects to erosion at leading edges of blades, hence general failure sets in. PP/FRP a new order is put in blower technology. Corrosion resistant property along with ease in fabrication for intricate shape, make PP/FRP blowers very useful in corrosive applications. Above all, the strength-to-weight ratio is higher than steel, hence starting torque, power consumption are less compared to steel blowers. Jasmul designs blowers at the optimum RPM, including blade designs/angles that ensures best efficiency and hence least power consumption with minimum maintenance. The unique feature of FRP moulded impeller is that it is light in weight, which minimizes the all-usual blowers mechanical problems. Salient features of blower: material of construction – FRP moulded or PP impellers, PP/PVC/FRP casing; impeller type: backwardly inclined/curved, forward curved and radial blades, statically and dynamically balanced; economic operation: well proven design, rugged construction, minimum maintenance, and operating cost; shaft seal: PP sleeve and PP gland packings ensure protection of shaft corrosion and prevent fume leakages from casing; ranges: capacity – 200 m³/hr to 50,000 m³/hr; pressure: 15 mm to 1000 mm WG.
