Recuperator For Waste Heat Recovery is a metallic device preheating the combustion air to the burners using the high temperature flue gases leaving the furnace.
- These recuperators offered in steel tube convection type or the double shell radiation type depending upon application with fuel savings up to 20 per cent.
- The payback period can be as low as 6 to 12 months in most cases; on an average energy savings of 10-15 per cent possible by preheating air to approximately 300oC, and
- Used in reheating and heat treatment furnaces in foundries, forge shops and heavy fabrication units.
