Mesh Belt And Shaker Hearth Furnaces.

Fluidtherm Technology has developed continuous mesh belt and shaker hearth furnaces for austempering of spring and high carbon steel components for bulk processing at a very low operating cost. Austempering eliminates the tempering process completely and gives increased toughness, ductility, strength, wear resistance and reduced distortion. Cycle times are reduced up to 60% and hybrid processing is also possible. Components are quenched individually under sealed condition. These furnaces are highly energy efficient as the hot belt returning within the furnaces is used to preheat the cold components up to 600?C before entry into the furnaces. Atmosphere gas consumption is reduced by use of a muffle in the furnace. A narrow "Deep Throat" muffle entry design further reduces gas consumption. The plant design enables belt and element replacement without having to open the furnace. They are ideal for processing large volumes with good surface finish and consistent output.
