Litel Infrared Systems offers Infrared Heating Equipment. Typical operations handled are: expansion of cylinder head bores for fitting valve seats; expansion of piston bores for fitting gudgeon pins; expansion of small end bore of connecting rod for fitting bearings; and expansion of gears for fitting them on the shaft, etc. The advantages of infrared are: localised heating ensures that only the portion of to be expanded is heated and others portions are not heated to the same extent; short time cycle - typically 60 to 120 secs, leading to compact size of machine; just-in-time operation - infrared is switched On and Off after the object enters infrared zone, there is absolutely no heat up/cool down time and also, no inventory of hot parts; automation - the conveyors are specially developed for the purpose and the entire unit including conveyor and IR zone in PLC controlled; it can be effective both as a stand alone machine or a machine synchronised with other conveyors (upstream and downstream) through PLC; and infrared is latest technology and is absolutely clean to operate.
