Bangalore-based ELVA Induction India Ltd manufactures induction-heating equipment maximinac, which consists of a water-cooled hand-held transformer (HHT) and frequency converter connected by flexible cables. The cabinet of the unit is air cooled and housed in a rugged enclosure. The automatic frequency control feature ensures maximum output power throughout the heating cycle. The output power can be continuously controlled either manually or by external standard control signals. The maximum output power is 50-kW/10 min, whereas the maximum continuous output power is 45 kW at 105 A DC. The ambient temperature range for this device is 0-50 deg C. Its unique design combines the advantages of a transistorised inverter such as high operating efficiency, low maintenance costs, low down time, with many user-friendly features. The flexibility of the equipment makes it suitable for applications such as brazing, hardening and other heating applications. Foot controller/temperature controller, two hand-held transformers and time controller are the optional accessories available. The dimension of this unit is 1,200 mm x 1,070 mm x 1,960 mm and its weight is 595 kgs.
