Induction Heating & Melting Equipment

Powercon Superheat manufactures solid state power supplies "SSPS" for induction heating and melting applications that include a wide range of power level (1 kW to over 8 MW) and frequency range (250 Hz to 50 kHz). Powercon "SSPS" is a unique example of the new state-of-the-art technology in induction melting/heating equipment. Highlights: 1. Load tracking – Powercon "P" series SSPS is designed to provide better matching to the resonant frequency of the load automatically. It tracks changing electrical characteristics of the load and delivers proportional power at the frequency that the load is tuned to. It ensures melt of more kg/kWh and kVA increasing steel melt shop profitability and productivity; 2. Power tracking – Powercon "S" series SSPS is designed to deliver full power irrespective of changes in electrical characteristics of the load. It ensures melt of more kg/kWh and kVA increasing small foundry shop profitability and productivity; 3. Q tracking – Powercon "Q" series SSPS is designed using ulra fast transistors with state-of-the-art technology to deliver power level 10 kW to 100 kW at frequency range 10 kHZ to 50 kHZ for induction heating/hardening application. It tracks Q of heating load to deliver maximum power. Features: power factor – >0.96; full power from start to finish of melt cycle; and more LM output per input demand kVA. Standard features: metering unit with analogue meters to show status of SSPS in terms of voltage, current, and power. Water conductivity unit monitors the quality of blood of SSPS and shuts down equipment, if any irregularity in water quality found. Earth leakage unit monitors the status of healthiness of lining of induction coil of melting furnace and shuts down equipment if any irregularity in lining condition found. Optional features: steel frame furnaces from 1000 to 20,000 kg capacity with removable coil cradle assembly, heavy duty aluminium frame crucible up to 2 tonne capacity, and 12 pulse system offered 600 kW onward.
