Horizontal Oven

The bed type milling machine is a machine for flat and spiral milling, drilling and boring radial holes on large bars/pipes, e.g., spiral drill collars, hex kelly, stabilizer, etc. Max job diameter 300 mm, length 15 metre is held in two chucks of diameter 630 mm mounted on traveling workheads on main bed of 32 metre length. While job travels longitudinally (X axis), it also rotates/indexes on `B' axis. 50 HP milling head with VFD and ±6 degrees swivel is fixed to main head at 90 degrees to main bed. Travel of milling head is 300 mm – 'Z' axis. Milling spindle has cutter register diameter 221.44 mm and ISO 60 taper with draw bolt. The milling spindle speeds can be programmed 0-450 RPM. Axis travels – X = 13 m, Z=300 mm, B=0 – 360 degree rollover and index; control system – Fanuc, rapid traverse – X=4m/min, Z=4m/min, B=720 degrees/min; and spiral pitches 32-76 inches are possible. The total weight is 51000 kg, and overall dimensions, L – 32 m, and W- 4 m.
