High watt density cartridge heaters

Hot Watt Industries manufactures high watt density cartridge heaters. These have superior design compared with conventional cartridge heaters. The coil, made from top quality nickel chromium wire, is precisely placed inside the tube and the tube is filled with high purity magnesium oxide. This unit is then swaged to compact the insulation. This compacting of insulation results in faster heat transfer and the heater can withstand normal shocks and vibrations. SS or incoloy is used as standard sheath material. These heaters are available with or without built-in thermocouple (J or K type). Sizes available are 5/16" or 8 mm onwards in diameter and 3" or 75 mm onwards in length. Wattages are available up to 100 watts per square inch of sheath area.
