Baliyan Numatic Technologies offers Heatless Dryers, BHL Series. The continuous usage of air/gas compressors leads to numerous troubles due to moisture accumulated in the air. This moisture later combines with the lubricant oil along with dirt and scale to form a sticky emulsion, which degrades performance of the control system by corroding and plugging the jets and orifices of pneumatic valves and instruments. To avoid production snags, quality spoilage and high maintenance expenditure, the company has evolved new technology air dryers to meet various industrial requirements. These heatless air dryers are specified for its perfect design, reliability, easy maintenance and low dew-point (-)40ºC. BHL Series modular heatless air dryers are maintenance free and are very popular due to smooth operation and extremely compact in size. The figure illustrates the working of the heatless dryer. Wet incoming gases after passing through filters pass through the inlet valve assembly and are directed towards Chamber I where they pass upward through the desiccant. Gas drying takes place by adsorption. Dry gas from Chamber I then passes through the check valve assembly and then through the after-filter to the application or work area. While gas is being dried in Chamber I the desiccant in Chamber II, which has been wetted in the previous cycle is being simultaneously regenerated. Chamber II is depressurised to atmosphere through the purge valve in the downward direction. A portion of the dry gas passes through the orifice plate/purge-controller through the desiccant and flushes out the moisture. When the regeneration is complete, the inlet valve is opened slowly to repressurised the tower slowly to line pressure for a smooth changeover.
