Pratik Heat Products offers Heater. This is a high performance heater used to solve heating problems of machine nozzles on injection moulding machines. It is essentially a coil heater mounted on a brass collet, which is designed and machined to high accuracy for better heat transfer and covered with a SS clamping band. When the heater is mounted on machine nozzle and screw/s is/are tightened, the collet grips itself firmly on the nozzle for even heat transfer while the band covers the coil completely thus protecting it from plastic slippage and prevent failure. Advantages: higher operating temperature of 400°C than mica band heater which is generally 250°C; high rate of heat transfer to the nozzle due to high watt coil heater and brass collet; minimal shear rate at nozzle exit resulting in marked improvement of end product quality and transparency - this is very important while moulding products of high aesthetic value like acrylic reflectors/PS/PC or products demanding dimensional accuracy like connectors; minimal failure against plastic spillage as heater is completely covered by clamping band with coil itself being welded; saving of costly machine and mould downtime as failure is negligible; and can be controlled better as it is available with thermocouple and can be used effectively to mould high end engineering plastics or heat sensitive plastics like PA6/PA6,6/PAGF, etc. Application: injection moulding machine nozzles/extension nozzles.
