The heat recovery unit is used in steel plants, process houses, textile industries, etc.
- The heat recovery unit is basically energy saving equipment; installation of such unit results in reduced fuel consumption of the boiler plants; the unit can be installed in the line of hot water, condensed steam, unused steam or waste flue gases
- The unit is used to heat air in the ranges of 60° to 90° C by using condensed steam or hot water as heating medium; this air can be utilised for drying process where the temperature requirement is less; when installed in the line of waste fuel gases, these units can also be used to heat water in the range of 60° to 75° C
- This heated water is then fed to the boiler plant thus increasing the efficiency of boiler and reducing the operating costs; various types of extended surface finned tubes are used in such units as heat transfer elements depending upon the required temperature and pressure applications
- Materials used for construction are carbon steel or stainless steel; airside flanges can also be made for connecting in between the ducts as per customer’s requirements; the heat recovery unit is used in steel plants, process houses, textile industries, etc.
