Graphite Heat Exchangers

Blast Carboblocks offers Graphite Heat Exchangers, BCAHEX Series. Features: modular design; high heat transfer efficiency; high resistance to thermal shocks; high resistance to corrosion; available in "vertical" and "horizontal" models; most compact utilisation of floor space and height; modular construction permits addition/deletion of "heat transfer area", without the need of full unit replacement; extreme turbulence due to central hole design gives higher heat transfer coefficient and prevents scale formation as well as fouling; and more net heat-transfer-per-ma-compared to-any-other configuration. These are the most advanced design for polyblock heat exchangers. These are made from impervious graphite blocks with two types of passages, viz., short converging type radial passage and small length type axial passage with redistribution channel on both faces. It results in a very high turbulence and hence very high "U" (heat transfer coefficient). Due to their main features of robustness, high mechanical strength and exceptionally long working life, these are widely used in chemical process industries, pesticides, fertilizers, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyestuff industries and pickling line in steel rolling mills.
