Desiccant Dryer, Blower Reactivated Type

Fine Air offers a blower reactivated type Desiccant Dryer. The wet air entering the dryer first comes in contact with the polymer element of the pre-filter; hence the polymer element retains on the surface soiled impurities up to 5 microns, water droplets and piping dust and rust. The auto drain trap removes the condensate from the chamber. This filtered air then passes to the air-drying plant. It is an automatic cycle of airflow through two desiccant beds, while one bed under adsorption the other one is under regeneration. The saturated filtered air enters the three-way diaphragm control valve and is directed to bottom portion of the tower for adsorption (Tower I). The tower is packed with desiccant. The desiccant adsorbed moisture from the up going stream of air, which when reaches the top of the tower is already dry. It leaves from the top of the tower and passes through the non return valve and enters the after filter, which like the pre-filter has polymer element that prevents the desiccant dust carry over into the system. For reactivation in the Tower II, hot air is required for which there is a motorised blower in the starting of the reactivation cycle. The blower sucks atmospheric air, which is directed towards the heater. After passing through the heater, this air, which is just above atmospheric pressure, is directed to the top portion of the Tower II for reactivation. Like Tower I, Tower II is packed with desiccant. This hot air has a high capacity to carry moisture and thus will carry the moisture from the desiccant bed to the bottom portion of the tower and will be purged to the atmosphere through a 2-way diaphragm control valve.
