Ceramic Band Heaters

Ceramic band heaters from Heatsun Electrical come with several unmatched features. These include: especially designed to heat the cylinders (barrels) on all types of plastic processing machinery; higher watt densities provide higher operating temperature; maximum watt density = 50 watts/square inches; and use of special ceramic material “steatite” that has high thermal conductivity. Application: plastic processing machinery, injection and blow moulding, extruders, etc. The selection of a heater depends on parameters like inside dia and width of the heaters, construction type, wattage and voltage, type of terminal, and drawing where special type of holes or cut-out required. Heatsun ceramic band heaters are made of helically wound nickel chrome resistance coil precisely stretched and strung through “steatite” ceramic cores forming a flexible. It is than placed in flexible stainless steel housing with ceramic fibre insulation. These heaters are very flexible and can be fitted easily.
