Cartridge Heaters

Commonwealth Electrical offers Cartridge Heaters. Features include: longer life with cost economy; high production and shorter delivery time; proven technology based on extensive experience of many years; and with built-in thermocouple for special applications. The company manufactures high-density cartridge heaters using high-quality materials that operate under extreme conditions. Major areas of use are tools heating in plastic plants, packaging machines, foundry technology, as well as medical devices. Standard sizes are available with 20 different diameters ranging from 6.0 mm to 25 mm and lengths from 40 mm to 500 mm. The heating power of these cartridge heaters ranges between 100 and 4000 W. They are in diameters 6.5, 8, 10, 12.5, 16, 19 and 25.4 mm (1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1"). Advantages: higher watt densities permit smaller heaters to be used without sacrificing life expectancy; this results in up-front as well as long-term cost savings; swaged construction provides maximum support for the resistance wire, eliminating the effects of vibration and shock; termination styles and special features allow customization to any application; and applications up to 750°C.
