Atomising Desuperheater


Atomising desuperheater from Mazda Limited, are used in creating high velocities and turbulence to help mix the cooling liquid and vapours. Cooling liquid is passed into a preheating chamber around the steam laval jet and is injected through series of small jets. These desuperheaters operate at low velocities of steam flow. The atomising process is fully effective at all loads down to the lowest rate of injection of cooling water. This is because of the constant flow of the atomising steam even when the main steam flow falls to a low point. Maximum turndown ratio is 33:1. The use of modulating steam atomising control valve synchronised with the main valve helps in achieving high rangeability of 50:1. Size of these Kauer-Mazda laval jet and atomising desuperheater ranges from 2 to 48 inch and rating is as per ANSI 2500. These products can be installed easily and can be mounted in any position.
