Air-cooled ceramic band heater

Hitco Super efficient and economical air-cooled ceramic band heater is designed for the blower air-cooling process/applications on extrusion machines. Heater band is 60% open by perforated metal sheet, which ensures maximum surface exposure for better cooling. The heater band is covered with blower cover for mounting the blower. Advantages of air cooled over liquid cooled operation include low cost, easy replacement, low maintenance, no leakage problem and uniform temperature control. Features: super efficient and economical specifically designed for the blower air-cooling process/applications on extrusion machineries; increased-cooling capacity is achieved by increasing the surface area of the barrel with specialty designed heating cooling elements; elements are made from highly conductive ceramic material in a special design; fast delivery of complete units from 60 to 300 mm; diameter without extra tooling costs; suitable for use at high temperatures; easily fitted due to simplicity of construction; uniform barrel temperature is attained by using the entire surface area of the barrel; and heat is controlled by a cooling system. The units are available with in-built insulation 25 mm thick. Delivery is complete with a metal housing incorporating the flange for the cooling fan and electrical connection box. Maximum watt density = 60 W/square inch, available with or without blower jackets. Optional feature: perforated heater with fins to provide faster cooling.
