Garuda Ispat Pvt Ltd produces Silica Ramming Mass for furnaces in two bases: Quartz base and Quartzite base, depending on the furnace capacity, either is used. Garuda is the only company to have separate grades for different furnaces. Quartz based silica ramming mass (also known as acidic ramming mass in generic terms), is designed to minimise erosion in induction melting. The company offers ramming mass for induction furnaces right from 0.5 MT to 30 MT. The various products are suitable for application temperature ranging from 1000ºC to 1700ºC, the company’s USP being its ability to provide customised gared according to needs of the users. The highly controlled silica and a particle size [mesh size: (BSS) 0 to 8 mm as per specifications] distribution has been kept at an optimum level, according to the furnace capacity and make, gives a high density, trouble free and consistent linings. The company, a sister concern of Gajanan Minerals, is the largest manufacturing unit of silica ramming mass in central India having annual production capacity of 36,000 MT.
