Aluminium Annealing Furnace Systems

Seco Warwick’s aluminium coil and foil annealing furnaces range from single coil modular furnaces to multi zone furnaces with tight zone control. These furnaces have exceptional temperature uniformity and unique charging techniques to fit the most demanding application. Seco Warwick’s technologies include: Mass flow design to protect load surfaces which are vulnerable to damage during high atmosphere flow; and Vortex Flow jet convective heating system that reduces cycle time by high heat transfer rate. Temperature uniformity: the company holds patents for innovations on controlling airflow recirculation over various sized loads, increasing heat transfer and uniformity. The furnaces incorporate vertical airflow with specially designed vertical baffles on each side of the load as well as high velocity directed mass flow system. Radiant tubes for either gas fired burners or electric heating elements protect the load from direct impingement of flame/radiation and maximise temperature uniformity. Vortex jet heating system: to avoid quality problems particularly at the strip edges due to direct impingement of non-uniform hot airflow on the coil, Vortex Flow Jet heating system is adopted. This incorporates arrays of 4 round inclined nozzle jets, which generate a spiral vortex motion of air that results in high heat transfer without producing hot spots in coils.
