Coimbatore-based Jaya Boilers manufactures scotch marine boilers that are of a two pass dry back design. These are available in a wide range from 100 to 10,000 kgs/hr with standard working pressures of 7 kg/cm2, and 10.5 kg/cm2. Scotch marine boilers are of Class I welded construction and are manufactured in accordance with IBR/ISO standards. Non-destructive tests such as radiography and ultimate stress relieving are carried out on all boilers prior to hydraulic testing. These boilers are suitable for fuels such as coal, wood, husk or any other agricultural waste. Designed for natural draught, a chimney of suitable height to be directly mounted on the boiler is provided, thereby avoiding additional electrical loads such as ID & FD fans. Features: Designed to give maximum delivery of steam to meet and load condition. Guaranteed 75 per cent combustion efficiency, based on the calorific value of coal, which is 4500 kcal/kg. Easily accessible on both water and the fire side Boilers of 500 kgs/hr capacity are provided with two multistage feed water pumps (one duty and one standby), suitable for pumping water up to 80? C. Standard accessories such as main steam stop valve, auxiliary steam stop valve, safety valve, feed check valves and blow down valve, fusible plug and 2 sets of water level gauges are provided with the boiler. The shell of these boilers is insulated with fibreglass wool of suitable thickness, covered with galvanised MS sheets to avoid radiation.
