Fluidised Bed Circulation Boiler(FBC) was developed in 1980s in Germany using coal/rice husk/baggase and other fossil fuels. These boilers are high in efficiency and low in pollution, i.e., clean combustion technology. FBC boilers are of two types: 1. High Magnification Circulation: circulation of low magnification FBC boiler is not sensitive to boiler capacity and coal category; and 2. Low Magnification Circulation: low magnification circulation does not need high control level and is easy to operate. In addition, it’s suitable to all kind of coal, rice husk, baggase and other fossil fuels with less power consumption itself, very suitable for medium and high size of boilers. The fluidised beds in density area are divided into low and high speed portion. Raw fuel is delivered to high speed bed. Fuel is screened automatically as per size. Large size particles to be fluidised at down area and fine particles float above either overflowing or dropping through division wall in front and rear low speed beds. There are embedded tubes in low speed bed, as fluidised speed is low while particle size is small; obviously bed material has less wearing to embedded tubes. Embedded tube life is prolonged, besides, the different fluidised speed in the two beds forms internal material in the circulation in the bed, which enhances material mixture and prolongs stay with in bed, which intensifies combustion and increases de-sulphurisation efficiency. The boiler is low magnification high/low bed FBC boiler with single drum, natural circulation and full membrane wall furnace chamber. Effective wearing resistance wearing is one of the important factors to continuous economical running of FBC boiler.
