Mechanical Speed Variator

N S Engineering is engaged in manufacturing gearboxes and other Power Transmission Products under the brand name Trisons for the last 20 years with complete infrastructure to make best product range with total customer satisfaction. The company offers a mechanical speed variator. The design of this variator is based on the wide knowledge of mechanical friction drives from the company’s principals, and has enabled much higher horsepower to be transmitted. The variator consists of on outer casing and end cover in which the co-axial shafts are mounted. These rotate in opposite directions. Power is transmitted from the input shaft through a pressure device to the drive disc, then to a series of double conical drive rollers which are free to rotate on fixed inclined spindles. The carrier in which the spindles are located is held on the end cover boss and is so arranged that is can be moved axially by means of the rack and pinion. From the drive rollers, power is transmitted to the outer ring and pressure device and thence to the output shaft through the drive flange. Due to the geometry of the power transmitting components, the input and output shaft rotate in opposite direction.
