External Locking Devices

Power Ace Engg Co offers premium quality External Locking Devices (Shrink Discs) manufactured by TAS-Schafer, Germany, one of the leading manufacturers of premium quality internal and external locking devices. The product quality is certified by EN ISO-9001: 2000 – Germany. These are devices that lock the shaft with the hub for further manufacturing activity. These are meant for highly stressed shaft-hub connections, earlier done by the age old keyway system of locking. These shrink discs are available in Standard range TAS -3071, Light range TAS – 3051, Heavy range TAS – 3091, TAS 3061 matching Bauer shaft mounted reducers, TAS -3073 – Mini range, TAS – 3071 (split/half), stainless steel, and two part shrink discs – TAS -3171, TAS -3181, TAS -3191. The locking devices avoid backlash that is sometimes encountered with keyed connections. They allow generous tolerances on shafts and hubs. Features and benefits include: superior performance against reversing; dynamic and impact loading; ease of installation, assembly and disassembly; capable of transmitting high torques and axial loads; precise positioning and adjustments; and a wide variety of sizes and styles. The assembly and disassembly process is provided in detail in the company manual. All the above locking assemblies are supplied pre-assembled and ready to mount. These external shrink discs are available in sizes from 10 to 450 mm dia. However made to order sizes can also be manufactured.
