Drive Belts

Samsons offers Drive Belts. These are raw edge V-belts, poly-V belts and timing belts. Features: polychloroprence impregnated fabric backing; specially treated and stabilized polyester cord; polychloroprence cushion; polychloroprence base with aligned reinforcing fibre; and integrally moulded cogs. Belts are manufactured in EPDM also for specific applications. Samsons is the first Indian manufacturer to: produce profile ground poly-V belts; successfully develop and introduce the Helicord synchro drive timing belts for a wide range of passenger cars; and to introduce drive belts in high performance, non conventional environment friendly materials. Helicord raw edge cogged belts - O-F plain and laminated belts and O-F-X cogged belts - have four fold advantages over the traditional wrapped belts: over 300% longer service life - the use of superior polymer compounds with special antidegradants and specially treated reinforcing cords in the Helicord O-F-X belts result in greatly increased life of the belt when compared to the traditional v-belts; fewer retensions - the reinforcing polyester cord is specially treated and stabilized which increases the modulus and greatly reduces stretch in service; this means fewer retensions and lower maintenance; greater safety - the use of specially treated reinforcing fibres and speciality chemicals in the base section ensures that Helicord O-F-X belts give optimum performance even under the high temperature conditions in the engine compartment; higher efficiency - the moulded cog design of Helicord O-F-X belts ensure that hysteresis losses are reduced which translates to higher overall efficiency of the drive; and multiple advantages - these multiple advantages are the result of adopting the latest process techniques and the use of superior materials.
