Ballscrew & Nut Assemblies

MARC precision ballscrews, manufactured by an ISO-9001 certified quality system firm, are widely used in the feeding mechanisms, NC machine tools, power reactors, highly accurate measuring instruments and other applications. MARC ballscrews are now a distinctive mark to the manufacturers faced with the current technology development. The function is based on the principle of converting linear motion to rotary and vice-versa by a train of re-circulating balls interposed between hardened ball tracks in the ball nut and shaft. As the transmission of the axial force is by rolling contact and not sliding friction, the reduction in friction gives low wear rates, high efficiency and maximum repeatability of operation. Salient features include: the precision of a ball track in semi-circular and gothic forms, close conformity to high level accuracy to achieve high system stiffness, response and repeatability of accurate positioning. Ballscrews are divided basically in 2 groups, as single nut and double nuts assembly for varied applications: single nut assembly - for loads in one direction, with limited acceptability in axial backlash; and double nut assembly - for pre-loads to achieve specific rigidity performance with total elimination of backlash.
