Worm Gears

Worms gears are used for transmitting power between two non-parallel, non-intersecting shafts by decreasing the speed. It is designed scientifically that when gear spins, the friction between the gear and the worm keeps the worm at its respective place. The worm gears are hobbed with multi-start hobs to ensure a high load carrying capacity available as Hardened and Ground worm drives. It is useful for conveyor systems, speed reduction in most engineering applications.
