High Torque Drive Timing Belts

Pix Transmissions has introduced PIX-X'act HTD Timing Belts. HTD (High Torque Drive) belts are the first generation of metric curvilinear tooth form of synchronous belts, for high torque drives. The curvilinear tooth shape provides a deeper rounded tooth versus conventional trapezoidal tooth shape. The curvilinear tooth shape facilitates uniform distribution of shear stress within the teeth and a smooth transition of tooth loads to the tensile members, which is a significant improvement over classical timing belts. PIX-X'act HTD belts are designed to deliver high torque with low belt-to-pulley friction noise. PIX-X'act HTD belts facilitate full synchronisation with HT drives as a result there is no belt creep or slip causing speed variations, resulting into significant energy savings, especially over high horsepower applications. Features: reduced tooth-jump due to deeper tooth design, provides longitudinal stability, facilitates optimum power transmission, no pre-tensioning required, and facilitates maintenance-free operation. Sections and range: 5M (330 5M-2100 5M), 8M (424 8M-3600 8M), 14M (966 14M-3500 14M). Applications: used in office data processing machines, wood cutting equipment, electrical tools, machine tools, printing machines and robots. Maximum sleeve width – 450 mm.
