Indian Paper Machinery & Engineering Works manufactures all kinds of Gears and Gearboxes to solve all drive requirements. The company has sophisticated gear cutting and grinding facilities and inspecting devices to ensure quality of its product. Its Helical Reducers are rugged units with low weight/HP ratio for transmitting high torque values with high reliability. Each stage of gearing is checked against beam strength, pitting and scoring considering the cycle loading encountered. Assignment of proper correction for low sliding/rolling ratio, choice of material and heat treatment, surface finish are few of the variables over which control is ensured right from the design stage. Elements are chosen to ensure high overlap and contact ratio, low losses and hence low sound and vibration level and high efficiency. Shafts are designed on combined bending and torsional stress and are ground on journals for accurate fitting of bearing having concentricity with gear's pitch circle diameter. Normally the housing is of graded CI, seasoned and machined with high degree of accuracy. The company also provide fabricating housing if required. The box design and ribbings are chosen for high rigidity in torsion and bending to ensure parallelism of bearing bores and hence the tooth contact pattern on load. The housing, which also acts as the oil reservoir, is large enough to give maximum thermal efficiency and oiling of gears and bearing with less temperature rise. All the bearings are antifriction type bearing to keep high efficiency and are chosen to take care of radial and axial forces arising because of load, having high B10 life.
