Gear Box (Helical/Worm)

The Gearboxes are available in two types namely Helical & Worm Gear Boxes. The worm gear boxes are made out of aluminium & cast iron. These are completely air tight, dust proof and can be installed even in open without any cover. The worm shafts are made of alloy steel, duly hardened, tempered and ground. All are supplied as per the international standards. These are supported on extra heavy-duty taper roller anti friction bearings of ample margin of safety to allow adequate journals as well as thrust loads. The worm wheels are made of chill cast phosphorous bronze and teeth accurately generated on gear hobbing machines. Lubrication is effected by splash of oil from the sump. Air-cooling is introduced by means of standard polypropylene or metal fans. Different models with varying center distance ranging from 40 mm to 400 mm also can be supplied. These helical gearboxes are available in centre distances of 50, 60, 75, 85 & 100 mm and ratio 30:1 or 40:1, 5:1/2 & 70:1. The inline helical gearboxes range has both sizes. In each type, there are different ratios available that can be selected with relation to capacities of the gearbox. Cases are available from high quality cast iron and gear components are manufactured from alloy steels with heat treatment.
