Fenner India offers innovative belts as mechanical transmission drives to make them efficient and minimise power loss. Fenner Raw Edge Cogged Belts, because of their moulded construction and transverse rigidity in the wedging direction, have low slippage in running, reducing the losses in the drive. Considering the drive can also be redesigned to be compact, it will result in lower overhung load on the shaft and reduced bearing loads, which substantially increase their life. Features: very high flexibility due to moulded cogs; excellent transverse rigidity because of polychloroprene rubber based compound with an-isotropic fibre orientation; very low stretch due to use of length stable polyester cords prepared; higher power rating of up to 30% over wrapped v-belts; low slip due to better arc of contact and pulley to belt geometrical relationship; and energy loss reduced to absolute minimum. The company also manufactures Fenner Multi-Pull Poly-V Belts that offer high power capacity in a single flexible low stretch belt. The multi-pull poly-V belts have maximum wedging contact with the pulleys, which almost eliminates the slippage ensuring maximum efficiency of the drives. Multi-pull poly-V belts were found to give energy saving from 3.64% to 6.69%.
