Classical Timing Belts, Pix-X’act

Pix Transmissions offers Classical Timing Belts, Pix-X’act. Timing or synchronous belts or positive drive belts can be best described as a flat belt with integrated moulded multiple teeth on its inside surface, which makes positive engagement with grooves on the counter face on the pulleys. Pix timing belts are built with glass cord reinforcement and wear resistant nylon fabric. The integrally moulded teeth and the backing are made up of specially designed poly-chloroprene rubber. In order to arrest side walking of belt during running, Pis timing belt has neutral construction with “S” and “Z” type glass cords laid alternatively. The first in the generation are synchronous belts having trapezoidal tooth profile, and are commonly called as classical timing belts. The belt tooth profile is a trapezoidal shape with sides being straight lines. These belts are based on imperial (inch) pitch sizes and can provide power transmission up to 150 kW. Features: unlike chain or gears, there is no metal to metal contact facilitating minimal noise, vibration free operation and no-lubrication; no slippage due to positive engagement of belt teeth with pulley grooves offering high efficiency; being thin and highly flexible, can be used for a wide drive ratios; and unlike V-belt, timing belts require less belt tension facilitating longer bearing and shaft life. Range: XL, L and H sections. Applications: XL pitch – lawn mowers, food mixers, sewing machines, home appliances, office machinery, printers, plotter, currency counters, etc. L Pitch – small hand tools, light machine tool drives, pumps, small fans, light textile machinery, letter sorters, etc. H Pitch – machine tools, fan drives, motor/generator sets, printing machinery, textile machines, agricultural machines, cigarette and cigarette component machines, rotary oil burners, compressors, light petrol and diesel engines.
