Cnc Heavy Duty Gear Hobber

HMT s CNC heavy duty gear hobber, Model H400 CNC, comes with 2-axis CNC control for radial and axial feed to bring in more flexibility and productivity. It uses HMT's Hinumerik 2000 CNC system. Special features: special gears like crown and taper gears can be cut; rapid traverse up to 1000 mm/min as against 700 mm/min on conventional machines; special cycles like dual depth, jump feed, multi cut, etc, can be easily programmed; improved positioning accuracy of +0.01 mm; improved repeatability of +0.005 mm; and multi cut cycles for gears with module 8 mm. The modified and improved radial feed gives more accurate and desired movement with high precision ball screw driven by an AC servo motor and position feedback with rotary encoder, ensuring good positioning accuracy of +0.01 mm with a repeatability of +0.005 mm in the forward direction to have a good control over size. This axis also facilitates multi-cut mechanism. Any number of cuts can be programmed as desired. Table slide will be clamped while cutting to sure consistent size. The radial feed can be infinitely variable with a rapid traverse of 2000 mm/min, ensur- ing shorter idle times. The AC servo motor having position feedback through a rotary encoder, ensures precise axial feed through ball screw and infinitely variable axial feed with a maximum rapid traverse of 1000 mm/min. During approach and at the end of hobbing, since the metal removal is lss, higher feeds can be programmed for optimum cycle time. The AC servo motor is with mechanical fail safe brake to arrest vertical slide from falling down during power off/power fail.
