Slewing Ring Bearing

Igus (India) offers iglide® PRT slewing rings. These use two self-lubricating, low-friction polymer sliding elements in place of ball bearings. The sliding pads are made from an igus®-developed, low-cost, high-performance polymer called iglide® J, which boasts a low coefficient of friction, chemical resistance, low moisture absorption and excellent vibration dampening properties. The slewing rings do not require any lubrication and so are completely maintenance free, as well as being especially resistant to dirt and dust. All the housing components are made from aluminium (except style 02, which has wear-resistant iglide® J head rings) and all the surfaces parallel to the iglide® J sliding elements are hard anodised, although a corrosion-resistant stainless steel version is also available.
